PROBLEM

During this final exam preparation period, my desk is always cluttered with textbook, notes, formula sheet, scrap paper, etc… especially the textbook, it is hard-covered, has about 1000 pages and weighs like a World Atlas. It occupied a lot of space and too heavy to move it around.

Found this cool app called verses poetry and it gives you random words to make a poem out of. It’s pretty fun to break writers block with but super limited and thy want you to buy words packs which is lame. Anywho, this was my first attempt.

The popcorn ceiling
has been my cinema
for the last hour, at least.
I’ve become clinomanic
and it could be
the softness of my bed
or the comforting warmth
emanating from my pillow.
But I doubt it.
It’s probably just that emptiness
that floods me
when I am overwhelmed;
it is a crushing weight,
a broken bone,
rising water and I am shackled
and sun-chapped
so I let the salt lick my cracked skin
and grin at the radiating burn
as the cool water soothes
and rises over head.
I am far too weary too fight
and no rest is as complete
